About Me
Thank you for your interest.
Where do I start?
Throughout my life I have always adored architecture, engineering, and creative ideas. I was always quite fond of design and original artistry throughout the many things one can do. Capturing what was in my mind and translating that into an actual thing. To me it’s like a game.
I also love to write and study the history of the world. At the same time I was also very interested in the quantum world when I was younger. I learned how to read because I wanted to read Stephen Hawking’s “A Brief History of Time”, it was one of my favourite childhood books.
Design
I’ve been designing since I was in kindergarten where I won my first design award/trophy. I was the only kid in my class that knew how to draw Jesus and the cross. From there on I started to do quite a lot of illustrations.
By grade 3-4 I was really good with drawing. My classmates would always ask me to draw something for them. By the age of 11 I took a summer program at the Winnipeg Art Gallery where I furthered my artistic and illustration skills with “still life” sketching and charcoal. One of my wolf illustrations was featured right at the main entrance of the gallery for some time. This was all quite thrilling to me.
Digital Age
There was always a constant need to take what was in my mind and manifest it into something tangible or at least digitally interactive.
My first experience with creating digital designs goes back to before the internet was actually a thing when I was 13. We had dial-up bulletin boards (BBSes) back then, that were based on 16-bit colour DOS graphics. I had re-designed many local bulletin board systems in Winnipeg. Eventually I started a Winnipeg-based digital art group called “Impact” around 1996 that would release “E-Magazines” full of our artwork.
(…this is all a work in progress)
